Dr. Nathan Larson brings a deep love of science, medicine, and meaningful patient care to every case at Larson Family Orthodontics. He earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Brigham Young University before continuing his education at Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, Dr. Larson joined the United States Air Force, where he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Nellis Air Force Base.
It was during this time that his foundation as a clinician was shaped, combining technical precision with the kind of patient-first care that continues to define his practice today.
Then, our hero embarked on a toothsome tour in Germany at Ramstein Air Base, where he battled plaque like a knight in shining armor for four years, saving smiles and probably a princess or two.
Dr. Larson’s love for straightening things out (teeth, we mean) led him to his University of Texas—Houston Orthodontic Residency, where he became an orthodontic Jedi (board-certified orthodontist) and earned a Masters in Dentistry.
With his new powers, Dr. Larson took charge as the Chief of Orthodontics at Yokota Air Base in Japan, wielding his light… I mean bracesaber. He straightened teeth with the precision of a sushi chef and the enthusiasm of a karaoke superstar.
After years of international smile-saving, Dr. Larson returned to the land of the free, where he worked for a few orthodontic practices until he finally realized his dream and opened his own super cool lair of orthodontics, continuing his quest to align molars and incisors to perfection.
And so, the legend of Dr. Larson continues, one brace at a time.
Dr. Larson and his absolutely amazing wife, Jess, juggle four lively kids—Sawyer, Violet, Isla, and Brooks—along with 4 hens, 1 rooster named Maverick, and one mischievous puppy, Millie. When he’s not wrangling the zoo, Dr. Larson is busy supercharging anything with an electric motor or building epic projects like a two-story, air-conditioned playhouse. He’s also a soccer coach, school demonstration scientist, and, fun fact, a former 2nd place amateur bull rider.

Wonderful ortho! We decided to go with Dr. Larson for our son’s braces and couldn’t be happier…
I stopped in without an appointment because I was having an unexpected issue with my retainer.
Our first born is ready for braces so naturally, we made several ortho appointments in order to find a good fit.
